"Your contractors have become integral, valued members of my team. They are true professionals who always deliver on the challenges they are given."

Jill, Hiring Manager

After many conversations in various coffee shops around Madison, Wisconsin, Jim and Bill set out to build Keystone Consulting, Inc. They didn’t yet know how it would work or even how they would cover the corporate filing fee, but they were certain about one thing: they wanted a company grounded in honesty, professionalism, and fairness—not profit above all else.

Today, those founding principles remain at the heart of Keystone. From our mission statement to our daily work ethic, honesty, integrity, and reliability guide every decision we make. Profit isn’t the priority—people are.

A Graphic Designer turned Technical Architect, Jim has always approached new opportunities with a simple question: How can this help the people I’m working for? That mindset has shaped a career full of unexpected turns — from landing a new role during a conversation about college football, to being selected for a Client/Server proof‑of‑concept team, to being flagged down across the street by a former colleague who knew he’d be perfect for a new position.
Looking back, Jim is still a little amazed at how each chance encounter and challenge helped guide him to where he is today. When he's not at work, you'll likely find him on a motorcycle or trackside watching open-wheel auto racing.

A graduate of UW Whitewater, Bill joined Keystone in 1999. In the positions of Systems Architect and Developer, he has played a lead role on numerous significant and complex projects. Bill has over 28 years of experience providing excellent service to clients. Colleagues and clients alike have come to rely on him for his calm, considerate approach — he's the kind of person who genuinely goes out of his way to help. An Eagle Scout in his youth and today a father to triplets, those qualities feel less like professional traits and more like a reflection of who Bill simply is. When he's not solving complex technical challenges, you'll likely find him cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers or the Green Bay Packers — a proud Wisconsinite through and through.

Jennifer joined Keystone in 2011 after responding to a Craigslist ad, stepping into the role of bookkeeper. Since then, she has drawn on her background in business management and human resources to support the company’s growth and uphold its strong reputation.
Throughout her career, Jennifer has naturally gravitated toward positions that require flexibility and the ability to “wear many hats.” Thankfully, that is not a literal expectation—literally she doesn’t like wearing hats. What she does enjoy is the variety that comes with her work: meeting new people, understanding their needs, and finding meaningful ways to support them.

Alivia joined Keystone in 2013, bringing with her a warm, approachable presence that immediately put people at ease. She takes genuine satisfaction in helping individuals find roles where they can thrive, and she values the relationships she builds.
As the oldest of six, Alivia naturally embodies patience, adaptability, and an intuitive understanding of people—qualities that serve her well in navigating the fast-paced, sometimes chaotic world of recruiting.
Outside of work, she loves to travel and immerse herself in new cultures, carrying that same curiosity and openness into every connection she makes.
